Why Enclave feels like home
After three years of hunting for a home, Todd Belôt has finally settled on an apartment at Enclave. Here’s why:
When it comes to one-bedroom apartments, Todd has certainly done his homework and is able to reel off comparisons between developments as well as suburbs.
“I have been looking at and comparing new apartments for some time now,’’ he said.
“What I like about Enclave is that I was able to find a one-bedroom apartment offering 72 to 74 square metres of floor space, which is generous compared to many of Brisbane’s inner-city apartments, which are typically 60 to 65 square metres.
“With ample space, it means I do not feel closed in and can also truly still entertain guests comfortably.’’
A private sanctuary: “One of the things about Orleigh is that a lot of thought has gone into the styling of each balcony,’’ he said.
“The balconies are private, which is a big plus, and being so close to Davies Park they’ve thought about making it feel connected to nature.
“For me, the sense of connection to nature is important. It will be like living in a sanctuary in the middle of the city.’’
Convenience: Located within a short stroll of Davies Park, Todd is excited to be so close to the community markets on Saturday mornings.
Featuring live music, fresh fruit and vegetables, fashion and gifts, tourists and locals are drawn to the wonderfully relaxed setting under a canopy of giant fig trees every week, as well as West End’s vibrant atmosphere.
“While I like to buy local produce, I also like the atmosphere of the Davies Park Market,’’ said Todd. “It has a real buzz and such a unique character.
“Wherever I go I look for local markets and at Enclave they’re only a couple of minutes’ walk away.’’
Location: With Todd maintaining a keen interest in the arts, Enclave’s proximity to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre at South Bank as well as the proposed 18,000-seat Brisbane Live entertainment centre over Roma Street train station, was always going to appeal to him.
“I think Enclave is in the perfect location when it comes to access to all sorts of things connected with the performing arts,’’ he said. “All of that is literally on the doorstep and I can’t wait to move in. ’’
Additionally, with Enclave’s riverside location a drawcard, it was only natural that Todd was seeking a home with river views.
“The views from my apartment will also extend to the hinterland, adding to the location’s sense of peace,’’ he said.
